Rahu and Ketu are the points where the path of the Earth orbiting the Sun and the path of the Moon orbiting the Earth intersect. Here, the North point is called Rahu, and the South point is called Ketu. These two planets are always exactly 180 degrees opposite each other, and they always move in a retrograde (backward) direction. Rahu and Ketu take 1 year and 6 months to cross one Rasi (zodiac sign).
